2 Circuit rail hardware allows the setup of 2 groups of lights on 1 rail, each controlled by its own switch or dimmer. Each spot light or pendant you attach can be individually set to one circuit or the other. So you can group them however you like.
For example, you could group the lights by type, having several spot lights controlled by one switch or dimmer interspersed with several pendants controlled by their own switch or dimmer. You can also group by location - lighting one half of the rail or the other - or any other grouping you can think of.
